The purpose of the project is to obtain more sustainable and more profitable paper production by developing a process for producing high quality wood-containing printing paper at lower energy consumption.

The project aims at designing a fibre furnish which reduces the energy consumption for drying. The main challenge will be to design a fiber furnish with superior dryability while meeting the print quality and runnability demands set by modern printing pressesThe project is partly funded by the Research Council of Norway, and is a cooperation between partners from industry, institutes and universities.
